Homonculi are small, bat-like humanoid creatures created through a combination of alchemy and magic, using the creator's blood as the main ingredient of the process.

They're a form of wizard's familiar.

They're telepathically linked to their creator at nearly all times and if this link is severed, they usually panic. They use this link to transmit their senses and receive orders. They're also able to use it to barrow and/or learn their master's skills.

All homunculi are reflections of their creator, having similar personalities, preferences and equal intelligence.
