Healing

If you want the ability to raise the dead, apply Cure Affliction (p. P51) for +60%. Next, add Cosmic (Affects the Dead) for +50%. This would allow you to repair the injuries of a corpse and/or bring it back to life. Treat the recently brought back character as though they made their death rolls.

Characters killed by massive damage will require healing and/or repairs to bring them above -5xHP, or they'll just die again. The GM should allow Surgery rolls with a +2 bonus (working on a corpse is easier) to repair the body, if desired.

Rotted bodies will need disease curing, as well, or they'll continue to rot when brought back. Treat this like a wasting disease of some kind, like leprosy.

Raising the dead carries a -6 penalty to the success roll, but since a corpse is most certainly unconscious, the penalty becomes -8. This is based on the idea that death is a +300% enhancement for Affliction (see the Heart Attack Enhancement). Cure Affliction and the Cosmic Enhancement allow it to be cured like any other affliction.

Special Enhancements

  • Cosmic (Affects the Dead): You can repair dead bodies and undead. Along with Cure Affliction, you could even bring the dead back to life. +50%.
  • Raise Dead Only: You can only bring the dead back to life. You may repair just enough damage in the process to raise a corpse's HP above -5xHP. +10%
