Binding

Special Limitations

  • Tether: Your Binding attack is a rope-like tether with a length up to 100 yards. You can shorten or lengthen this with Reduced Range and Increased Range, independent of attack range. Tether doesn't keep your target from moving around unless combined with Engulfing (making it much like a net on the end of a rope). You can use a second attack to secure your end of the tether to any desired location or object (or even another creature). Alternatively, you can do this first. You can also fire a short tether at two targets simultaneously using the Dual Weapon Attack technique (one level of Multiple Targets lets you do this without the technique). You can hang on to the tether and try to pull the target toward you on subsequent turns. Finally, you can build webs, normally taking 10 seconds per hex of surface area covered (10 minutes divided by your Basic Move if combined with Melee Attack). You can produce tighter webs to make them stronger: each doubling of time spent increases ST (not DR) by 1.5 times. If combined with the Sticky Enhancement, the tether can be Sticky or not, but this choice must be made at character creation time. Selective Area lets you choose when you attack. This cannot be combined with One-Shot, since Tethers cannot be layered in that manner, but multiple tethers can be attached to the same target. +40%.
