This works just like Portable Hole, except that the bottom of the hole is filled with sharp, pointy bits.

Generally, the maximum depth is set at 5 yards. This would result in 1d+2 damage for those falling in the pit. For other depths, see p. B431.

If this is used to make a hole wider than the 4 yard radius of spikes the spell can handle, then only the center of the pit will have spikes.

Portable Pit Traps sell for $400, regardless of size or maximum depth. The most common version is a ten foot square with a 5 yard depth. This would result in 1d+2 imp damage for those falling in the pit. For other depths, see p. B431 for falling damage, add 2 and make it impaling.
