The Shadow Wood is not exactly haunted, but it is filled with shadow monsters. Most of these creatures are Shadowed Eyes that betrayed the Guild Master.

The headquarters of the Eyes is at the center of the forest.

The center of the forest is protected by the following spells: Forest of Thorns and Forest of Confusion. There is a safe path in that's been lined with Stones of Direction, but since all the stones are buried, there is no indication.

Somewhere near the Shadowed Eyes headquarters is a patch of Shadow Rose Bushes created by the Shadow Rose Spell. This is where Guild Master Rayna get the roses she leaves as her trademark. She comes out to tend the patch on a regular basis.
